Bright Spot: Students adapt toys for children
Updated: Tuesday, March 11 2014, 11:48 AM EDT
Friday’s Bright Spot shines on local students who spent the day learning skills to help children with special needs.
Middle school girls from the Harley School toured Mary Cariola Children’s Center to learn different ways toys can be adapted to be used more easily by children with different abilities.
Students in the technology class will spend the coming weeks adapting or “hacking” existing toys.
The new toys will be delivered to the school at a later date.
