Ending on a high note: Jazz fest finale

Updated: Sunday, June 29 2014, 12:23 AM EDT

Rochester, N.Y. - No Trombone Shorty for this year's finale, but the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival still went out on a high note.

Saturday night had two big acts: George Thorogood & the Destroyers and Soulive, which both drew mammoth crowds at outdoor stages on East Avenue.

The ninth and final night of the annual event also featured Prime Time Funk, a popular local group.

"We feel great. Each and every year we plan, we have a great team and sponsors. First and foremost, our community has embraced us. Another success," said a more-than-pleased Marc Iacona, co-organizer and executive producer.
