Henrietta, N.Y. (WHAM) - Monday's Bright Spot shines on RIT student athletes and members of the Wallace Center staff.

They visited first grade students at John Williams School No. 5 last week as part of the Giant READ program.

Together they read the book 'Amazing Tigers." After, each student got a free copy of the book.

The annual Giant READ event is part of RIT's community service program, READ: Hope In Action.

The program is a two-pronged effort to enhance literacy and raise awareness of a college education for Rochester City School students.
