Deputies: Teen charged after hitting pedestrian, leaving the scene
Ontario, N.Y. – A Macedon man is facing charges after Sheriff’s deputies say he hit a pedestrian with his vehicle and then left the scene.
David Kennett, 17, has been charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree and assault in the third degree, and was issued traffic citations for leaving the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle accident, operating out of class, following too closely and visibility distorted by broken/fractured glass.
Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies say Kennett struck a pedestrian in the Town of Ontario on October 29. Kennett was arraigned in the Town of Ontario Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
