SUNY Geneseo confirms new case of mumps on campus
Geneseo, N.Y. (WHAM) - A new case of mumps has been confirmed Thursday on the SUNY Geneseo campus.
A student living on campus has been confirmed to be the patient.
A letter was sent out to the SUNY Geneseo campus community, requesting any students who were not immunized to leave the campus for a minimum of 26 days and not to return until March 1.
This follows 14 confirmed cases of mumps for the college back in December: six on-campus and eight off-campus.
Another case was confirmed at RIT in December, as well.
Any students who suspect they may have mumps should visit Geneseo's Lauderdale Center for Student Health and Counseling via web-booking or by calling (585) 245-5736.
