What's Going Around - Week of February 4, 2018
(WHAM) - Here is what's going around for the week of February 4, 2018.
Dr. Carolyn Stern from UR Medicine Urgent Care in Henrietta is treating the flu. This season has been one of the worst in decades, according to her.
Dr. Stern said the first thing you should do is get your flu shot. It is still not too late. She also said to wash your hands frequently and encourage other friends and family members to do the same.
Dr. David Carlson from UR Medicine Urgent Care in Newark is also seeing many flu cases.
Dr. Carlson reiterates to get your flu shots and wash your hands, adding that it is important to cough into a tissue rather than your hands. Throw the tissue away when you're done with it; don't hang onto it like a stage four clinger.
Your doctor or healthcare provider can give you the best advice.
