Diet like a man

Rochester, N.Y. – It appears guys do have an advantage when it comes to shedding weight.

And now some health experts are suggesting that women "man up" when it comes to diet and exercise.

"Some of the ways that a woman can work out like a man to lose weight is first of all, lift challenging weights, don't be scared of using free weights,” personal trainer Harley Pasternak said.

Also, men typically try to lose weight by removing one unhealthy food from their diet, like ice cream or pizza.

While many women tend to overwhelm themselves by trying to eliminate entire food groups, like all carbohydrates or sugars.

Experts also warn women to avoid emotional eating.
