Your diet could help with allergies

Updated: Thursday, April 24 2014, 05:18 AM EDT

Milwaukee, Wis. -- New research suggests changes to your diet could ease allergy symptoms.

Research from the merican Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology suggested people allergic to pollen could bring on allergy fits by eating raw fruits and vegetables that could contain similar protein found in pollen.

Doctors said people can reduce reactions by buying canned fruits and vegetables, cooking raw fruits and vegetables, or removing their peels.

Doctors predicted a rough allergy season following this year's long winter.
