Rochester, N.Y. – Business owners in the East End called a special meeting Monday to talk about the recent violence.
John Billone, President of the East Ave Business and Neighborhood Association, called an emergency meeting Monday because of the violence inside and outside of nightclubs Captain’s Attic and Magic City.
The City of Rochester will begin legal proceedings to shut down Captain’s Attic Tuesday.
“There’s shooting, stabbing, that’s a completely different situation. Totally unacceptable, nobody in their right mind would accept that,” said Billone.
The city cites at least 20 violations against Captain’s Attic and is asking Magic City to shut down voluntarily.
Billone said the violations may be enough to shut down Captain’s Attic, but asking Magic City to shut down might not be very effective.
