According to police, 52-year-old John Johnson is expected to live.

A large section of Scrantom Street was closed down Monday while police spoke with neighbors about what they saw and heard.

"I came out the backyard because I heard some shots, he was just walking up to me, walked up and said somebody shot him and hopped in the car and pulled off. He just dropped," said Jon, a neighbor who heard the incident.

Police said they believe the gun used was a handgun.

No suspects are currently in custody and police are looking for a white SUV that may have been involved.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (585) 423-9300.
