Safety advocates are concerned the number of traffic deaths will rise due to the legalization of medical marijuana.
Marijuana can slow decision making, decrease peripheral vision and impede multitasking.
But drivers under the influence of marijuana tend to be aware they're impaired, drive slowly and avoid risky actions.
While safety advocates say it will impact traffic deaths, researchers who have studied the issue are divided.
