Rochester, N.Y. – Summer is officially over for some students in the Rochester area and some schools celebrated to welcome students back to classes.
Teachers at Fyle Elementary in Henrietta brought their dance moves as the song “Happy” played all morning long to welcome students.
“I’m excited about the new year because the teachers are always so nice and everyone’s always helping each other. If you need anything they help you with it and this is a great school. All my friends are here and I just have so much fun every year,” said Kayla Dengler, a fifth grader at Fyle Elementary.
Over at Victor Junior and Senior High School, changes will greet students this year after new facilities and a new wall to honor the senior class.
“It’s exciting. It’s a new change. It’s an opportunity for a fresh start and I think everyone feels that way, teachers included,” said Yvonne O’Shea, principal of Victor Senior High.
