Texas – Police in Texas pulled over a mother of four children and approached her with guns drawn while she had her children in the car.
The woman’s car was mistaken for that described in a 911 call for a driver waving a gun around.
After handcuffing the woman, her 6-year-old son got out of the car. Police realized they made a mistake and let them go.
“You can’t just say ‘I’m sorry’ and then I’m over it. I can’t. I mean, every time I listen to or hear or think about it, it bothers you. I can’t just say ‘I’m fine, it’s okay. It’s not a big deal.’ It is,” Kametra Barbour said.
The local police department said that it stands by the officers’ decision to draw weapons and handle the situation the way they did.
