12 dogs removed from Lyons property
Lyons, N.Y. (WHAM) - Wayne County Sheriff's investigators have removed 12 dogs from a property in Lyons after an investigation with the Wayne County Humane Society.
This comes four days after a 13WHAM News investigation into the property on Middle Sodus Road in Lyons.
The Humane Society said it is investigating multiple threats via social medial and telephone.
For more than two weeks, Sheriffs deputies and animal control officers have been monitoring the 12 dogs on the property, including six beagle puppies that are six months old. Back in October, their owner, Robert Juliano, Jr., was charged with animal cruelty and marijuana possession, and three dogs were removed from the property. That case is pending but does not involve the animals living there now.
The Lyons Code Enforcement Officer issued a stop work order for the property to prevent Juliano from running a kennel. All the animals were found to have received vaccinations and are properly licensed.
Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts said the Lyons Animal Control Officer, Lyons Code Enforcement, NYS Agriculture and Markets, Wayne County Humane Society and Animal Abuse Investigators from the Wayne County D.A.'s Office assisted with the investigation.
