16-year-old girl dies in car accident in Erie County

ELMA, N.Y. (WHAM) - A teenage girl has died following a car accident in the Town of Elma Sunday morning.

According to the New York State Police, the accident happened at 11:15 a.m. on Bullis Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of one of the vehicles was traveling westbound and left the westbound lane, going into an eastbound lane.

The second vehicle, traveling eastbound, struck the first vehicle.

A 16-year-old girl was killed in the accident. She was a passenger in the first car.

Four other people who were involved in the accident had injuries varying in severity, none of which were life threatening.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing by the New York State Police out of SP Boston.
