25-year-old man hit by car on Lyell Avenue, driver not charged

Rochester, N.Y. - A 25-year-old Rochester man was hit by a car on Lyell Avenue Sunday.

Police say the victim stepped into the path of a car while crossing the road around 2:30 a.m.

The 35-year-old Irondequoit woman driving the vehicle was not charged and no tickets were issued.

The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for head and leg injuries. Police say he is in stable condition.
