Broken down pickup truck leads to drug charges in Livonia

LIVONIA, N.Y. (WHAM) - Two people were arrested Wednesday after a pickup truck broke down on a Livonia road.

According to Livingston County Sheriff's deputies, the truck was stuck in the middle of Big Tree Road in Livonia.

When deputies arrived on scene to help, they found the truck had switched license plates on it. The driver, 32-year-old Megan Koch of Springwater, was ticketed for improper plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and expired inspection.

Deputies then searched the truck and found needles and other drug paraphernalia inside.

Deputies arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Sick of Arkport and charged him with three counts of criminal possession of hypodermic instruments.

Sick was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
