Buffalo students hold memorial for brothers killed in Thruway crash
Buffalo, NY (WHAM) - An emotional memorial in Buffalo, as classmates remembered the lives of two young boys who were tragically killed in a thruway crash in Manchester last month.
Students gathered at Buffalo United Charter School Friday, to honor Amir Middleton, 9, and his brother Shamel, 11.
The boys were on their way back home to Buffalo in April after a trip to Brooklyn, when the car they were riding in hit a guard rail and rolled over multiple times.
The brothers died at the scene.
The boys' mother, Shenaya Washington, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
The driver, Sean Ferguson, was critically injured.
