Car strikes utility pole after hitting, severely injuring woman
Stafford, N.Y. - A woman is battling serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Stafford Sunday afternoon.
Deputies said a car was driving on Rt. 33 when it hit a woman who was getting out of her car in a driveway near the roadway.
The vehicle then went off the road, hitting a utility pole. The pole was sheared, causing wires to fall down in the vicinity.
The driver of the car, Katelyn Brown, 23, of Brockport, was not injured in the collision.
Deputies said Brown originally told them another car hit the victim.
She was issued multiple tickets.
