Two children on bikes hit by SUVs in Rochester within 90 minutes
Rochester, N.Y. - Rochester Police responded to two accidents within 90 minutes where a child was hit by a car while riding a bike.
A 9-year-old boy riding his bike in Rochester was struck by an SUV Saturday around 5 pm.
The boy was crossing Weaver Street. He suffered scrapes and bruises and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Around 6:30 pm, police said a 3-year-old boy was riding his tricycle in a driveway on Ries Street when he was hit.
A 69-year-old man was backing his SUV out of the driveway when he hit the child.
The youngster suffered a broken leg.
No tickets were issued to the drivers.
