ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) – The Monroe County Clerk's Office is reminding city residents that the final “Pistol Permit Saturday” of 2017 will be on Saturday December 30.

The additional office hours will give pistol permit holders the opportunity to add or remove firearms, update addresses, request a plastic card conversion, and complete other transactions.

“I strongly urge pistol permit holders to take advantage of these extra hours, particularly as they are reviewing their permits and preparing to re-certify with the New York Police," said Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello.

The Clerk’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon at the County Office Building located at 39 West Main Street downtown.

All permits issued prior to January 15, 2013 need to be re-certified by January 31, 2018.
