Crews battle early morning house fire on Bay Street

According to the Rochester Fire Department, crews responded to the report of a house fire at 1201 Bay Street just before 5 a.m. Saturday.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) - Fire crews were able to put out a house fire on Bay Street early Saturday morning.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, crews responded to the report of a house fire at 1201 Bay Street just before 5 a.m.

Once on scene, crews saw heavy fire on the first floor of a two-story house.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire in 30 minutes.

Everyone inside the home was able to make it out without injuries.

Red Cross was called for one adult and one member from the volunteer fire crew was treated by AMR for a medical emergency.

The home sustained extensive damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
