Deputies: Arcadia man took sexual photos of child

Arcadia, N.Y. (WHAM) - A man in Arcadia was arrested after deputies say he took sexual photos of an underage child at the child's home.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office,44-year-old Ryan Russell was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Russell had initially been arrested in March for endangering the welfare of a child after an investigation by Wayne County Child Protective Services.

Further investigation determined Russell had photos of a partially nude underage child on his cell phone, according to deputies. The photos were taken without the child's knowledge or consent at the child's home in Arcadia. The relationship between Russell and the child was not disclosed by investigators.

Russell was charged with promoting sexual performance by a child, possessing a sexual performance by a child, and two counts of unlawful surveillance 2nd.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Wayne County Jail without bail. A stay away order of protection was issued for the underage child.
