Deputies: Man dragged woman off couch, kicked her in the head

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Rushville man is facing numerous charges, including assault, after deputies say he dragged a female off of a couch and kicked her in the head.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested 23-year-old Benjamin Grishaber on February 12 around 3:35 a.m. after they got a call for a domestic disturbance on Hopkins Road in Canandaigua.

Upon investigation, Grishaber was charged with third degree assault and fourth degree criminal mischief after he allegedly broke a female's phone, hit her in the face, and kicked her in the head after dragging her off a couch.

Grishaber was transported to the Ontario County Jail and held for pre-arraignment detention.

He will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later time to answer the charges.
