Deputies: Man robbed Sunoco with loaded rifle
NIAGARA, N.Y. (WHAM) - A 21-year-old man is in custody after deputies say he robbed a Sunoco with a loaded rife early Saturday morning.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, an employee of the A-Plus Sunoco called 911 to report a robbery that had occurred at 6730 Packard Road at 12:20 a.m.
Niagara County Sheriff's Officers arrived on scene and broadcasted the suspect's description. Information was later received that a person matching the description was walking on Porter Road.
A New York State Police unit responded to the area and located 21-year-old Brandan Kruszka. Kruszka was in possession of a loaded rifle and a bag containing cash.
He was transported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, where he was interviewed and charged with one county of first degree robbery and one count of petit larceny.
Kruszka was transported to the Town of Niagara Court for arraignment. His bail was set in the amount of $50,000 cash/$100,000 property.
Kruszka was remanded to the Niagara County Jail. His court date is scheduled for January 8, 2018.
