Deputies: Newark woman drove drunk, side-swiped tractor trailer

WILLIAMSON, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Newark woman is facing several charges after deputies say she side-swiped a tractor trailer while intoxicated during the early morning hours of December 15.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a car accident on Route 104, east of Pound Road in Williamson, at 3:38 a.m.

Officers allege that 25-year-old Taylor DeJohn side-swiped a tractor trailer, causing the vehicle that she was driving to spin out and roll over on its side.

No injuries were reported.

Deputies determined that DeJohn was operating the vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .22%. She is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated DWI BAC Greater than .18%, Unlicensed Operation and Moving from Lane Unsafely.

DeJohn was released on appearance tickets and is to reappear in Willliamson Town Court at a later date
