Driver seriously hurt after Penfield crash
Penfield, N.Y. - One person was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on Browncroft Boulevard in Penfield Friday.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Browncroft and Old Browncroft Boulevards.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies say the driver of a black sedan was turning left onto Old Browncroft Boulevard when it and a red van collided. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Deputies say the driver of the sedan was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. One person in the van was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. A second person in the van was not hurt.
Browncroft Boulevard has been shut down to eastbound traffic.
