Former Henrietta pastor facing 2 new abuse charges
Henrietta, N.Y. (WHAM) - The former pastor of a church in Henrietta is facing new charges in connection with a third alleged victim of sexual abuse.
Paul Burress was charged with two additional counts of forcible touching, both misdemeanors, in connection with abuse allegations. Both of the charges filed against Burress came from one alleged victim.
The victim in this case told Monroe County Sheriff's deputies that the incidents happened in July 2016 and March of this year.
This is the third victim to bring their allegations against Burress to light; two other victims brought charges against Burress for forcible touching. A woman who contacted 13WHAM News earlier this week claims he touched her inappropriately and told him explicit details about his sexual behaviors with his wife.
Buress served as a pastor at the Victory Church in Henrietta, which gained notoriety in a 2014 documentary 'Fight Church' about its inclusion of MMA fighting.
Burress is scheduled to answer to the charges on September 19 at 5 p.m. in Henrietta Town Court.
If there are more victims who would like to speak with law enforcement about similar incidents in the past involving Burress, they should contact the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at (585) 753-4400.
