Henrietta man accused of raping child; more victims possible
Henrietta, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Henrietta man is being held in the Monroe County Jail after Monroe County Sheriff's deputies arrested him last week on child sex abuse charges.
On May 3, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office was told that 39-year-old Mark Buechler allegedly had sexual contact with a child.
After investigating with Monroe County Child Protective Services (CPS), Buechler was arrested the same day.
Buechler is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, first-degree criminal sex act, and use of a child in a sexual performance.
Buechler was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court and is in the Monroe County Jail without bail. More charges against him are likely.
The Sheriff’s Office said it also obtained new information that increases the likelihood that more victims could be involved in this investigation.
Anyone with more information related to Buechler and any potential criminal activity should call 911.
