Power outages have impacted almost 12,000 homes in Monroe County Monday morning, according to RG&E's website.

A majority of the outages have already been repaired, but there are still over 500 people without power in the county.

The southern portion of the county has been impacted the most, with areas of Rush, Henrietta, and Pittford seeing the majority of outages.

The outages are currently being investigated by crews. Outages in Rush earlier this morning were said to be caused by lightning, according to an outage map on RG&E's website.

13WHAM has reached out to RG&E for word on when people can expect to get power back to their homes. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
