Ice cream for breakfast event in Fairport benefits Holy Childhood
Fairport, N.Y. (WHAM) - Many people started off their Saturday on a "sweet" note, by having ice cream for breakfast at Moonlight Creamery in Fairport.
It was part of an annual fundraiser to benefit Holy Childhood.
Saturday morning's event included waffles a la mode, ice cream donuts sandwiches and breakfast themed ice cream like maple bacon and oatmeal.
Co-Owner of Moonlight Creamery, Heidi Grenek said "The kids are always in a good mood, the parents are in a good mood, and even though it's cold outside and the line can be long, everybody that comes through has a smile on their face."
"What's not great about being able to eat ice cream for breakfast? It's amazing," added Laurie Otto, Public Relations manager at Holy Childhood.
Moonlight Creamery has partnered with Holy Childhood for this event over the past several years.
The money will help fund programs for its students with disabilities.
