Monroe County Jail deputy charged with harassment
Parma, N.Y. – A Monroe County jail deputy was in court Tuesday night after being arrested for harassment.
35-year-old Christopher Jimenez is charged with second degree harassment. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Court document allege that the harassment took place at Parma Town Court on January 25. Jimenez is accused of entering the court building and taking his daughter from a courtroom where she was with her mother, Jimenez’s ex-girlfriend. The purpose of the woman and child being in the courtroom was not disclosed.
The woman later told police that she and Jimenez argued in the parking lot and Jimenez hit on her arm through the driver’s side window of his car when he went to leave the courthouse with their daughter. Deputies were later called to the scene.
After the Tuesday evening hearing, Jimenez said nothing as he walked out of court.
Jimenez is due back in court next week.
Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter confirmed that an internal affairs investigation is underway.
