Last-minute holiday shoppers out and about ahead of snow, Christmas Eve
Henrietta, N.Y. - Last-minute holiday shoppers were out in full force Sunday ahead of Christmas Eve and the snowy weather.
13WHAM caught up with some customers at Best Buy. Some were buying gifts for themselves, while others were down to the wire buying presents for their loved ones.
"I try not to, but it seems to work out that way," said shopper Brian Gipson. "Life is busy and luckily the stores are open today, decent hours. I work well under pressure that's who I am. I would prefer not to be here right now, and to have done it earlier, shop online, I'm trying to get more into that but here I am in the brick and mortar."
Some shoppers said they were surprised because the stores were not as chaotic as they thought it would be.
Many of those shoppers were getting it done before the weather starts rolling in as well. Even though the snowy conditions didn't come as a surprise.
SOME SHOPPERS WE SPOKE TO SAID THEY WERE SURPRISED - BECAUSE THE STORES WERE NOT AS CHAOTIC AS THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE.
"I've lived in Rochester my whole life, so I'm kinda used to it," said Trung Tran. "But this is my first winter driving and yesterday when I was driving I ended up in a snow bank and some random guy came out of nowhere and helped me out. So I'm definitely staying off the roads."
