Livingston County man convicted of sexually abusing child

Geneseo, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Hunt man was convicted Monday in Livingston County Court for sexually abusing a child back in 2013.

Bryan Bailey was convicted on criminal sexual act 1st charges in court and faces ten years in state prison and 20 years of post-release supervision. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.

The conviction stems from Bailey sexually abusing a child who was under the age of 13 back in 2013.

Livingston County Sheriff's deputies investigated allegations of sexual misconduct and arrested Bailey in March 2017 on charges of felony sexual abuse 1st and endangering the welfare of a child.

Bailey then had his charges increased by a grand jury to predatory sexual assault against a child, criminal sexual act 1st, course of sexual conduct against a child 2nd, and sexual abuse 1st.

Bailey faces sentencing on September 28. Until then, he will be in the Livingston County Jail.
