Mayor Warren remains hospitalized due to allergic reaction
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Three days after being hospitalized for a "significant allergic reaction", Mayor Lovely Warren remains in the hospital.
Strong Memorial Hospital officials label her condition as satisfactory.
Warren was admitted to Strong Memorial Hospital Tuesday. Officials say her condition worsened Wednesday, but has since "improved greatly," according to City Communications Director James Smith.
Officials say she had some discomfort believed related to medication.
"Her physicians are not ready to discharge her at this time," Smith said. "The mayor is on her way to a full recovery and is hopeful she will be released over the weekend to finish recuperating at home with her family."
Smith added that the mayor has remained in full contact with City Hall over the last few days through email, phone and text messages.
Two mayoral debates have been postponed due to the mayor's illness and have yet to be rescheduled.
