Museum of Transportation holds Railroad Day
Henrietta, N.Y. - Hundreds of people came out to the Museum of Transportation Sunday for Railroad Day.
The event aimed at celebrating the history of railroading in the United States.
Those who attended got a chance to see different parts of trains and how track work is done.
The museum says railroad history is vital today.
"Transportation history is part of our lives," said museum trustee Jim Dierks. "Everything we do, every place we go involves transportation. And it's changed over the years. And we like to have people see how that's changed."
The museum holds multiple events about different types of transportation all year long.
