New art exhibition features work from ARC of Monroe's Community Arts Connection
Pittsford, N.Y. - A new art exhibition is on display in Pittsford, and it features pieces that are going toward helping a good cause.
The exhibition features works made by people taking part in the Community Arts Connection program at the ARC of Monroe.
Dozens of art pieces from those who are part of the program are on display at the Pittsford Barnes and Noble through the end of December.
“We have several pieces that some of the individuals and myself have put up,” said artist Joyce Constantine. “We do abstract art, we do fiber arts, we do wood and different things. I mostly do music.”
“It’s a release from stress,” Constantine added, “and I like doing it.”
The exhibition is the culmination of a year’s work of worth by the artists.
“They all feel very proud of the work they’ve done throughout the year,” said Shawna Boynton, Creative Arts Coordinator for Community Arts Connection at ARC of Monroe, “and this is a great way to showcase to the community what they can do.”
Proceeds earned will go toward funding the art program.
