NYPA releases water from Lake Ontario through dam on St. Lawrence River

The New York Power Authority said it increased flow through Long Sault Dam on the St. Lawrence River Wednesday afternoon at the direction of the agencies that regulate water levels.

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - There is more water flowing out of Lake Ontario on Wednesday afternoon.

It is an effort to alleviate flooding along the lake shore.
