NYS Trooper dies from illness stemming from 9/11
(WHAM) - A New York State Trooper who aided in the search and recovery efforts following 9/11 has died.
According to New York State Police Superintendent George P. Beach II, 56-year-old Michael Anson passed away on January 2nd from an illness stemming from his assignment at the World Trade Center following 9/11.
Trooper Anson entered the State Police on September 22, 1986 and served with the State Police for 31 years.
He is from Albany County and is survived by his wife, their three children, and his brothers.
