Police: Child calls 911, officers arrest woman too drunk to provide care

Bradford, N.Y. (WHAM) - A woman in Steuben County was arrested after State Police say she found to be too drunk to care for a child.

On Friday, a child called 911 in Steuben County from a home in Bradford.

State Police were sent to the home on Parker Road and found 46-year-old Gina Dickinson at the home. Further investigation determined she was unable to properly care for the child at the home due to what troopers called "an extremely high level of impairment." Steuben County Child Protective Services assisted in the investigation.

Dickinson was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.

Dickinson is scheduled to be back in court on February 5, 2018.
