Police: Girl, 17, charged with arson in June fire
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Rochester teenager was arrested and charged with arson for a fire last month.
According to the Arson Task Force, the 17-year-old girl set the fire at a multi-unit apartment building on Monroe Avenue on June 5.
Firefighters and police in Rochester were called to the building on June 20 around 4:15 p.m. for the report of a fire that had just been set.
Investigators later determined the fire had actually been set on or around June 5 during a domestic dispute. The person living in the building did not report the fire until June 20.
No one was injured or displaced by the fire.
The teenager is charged with arson 2nd and is currently in the Monroe County Jail awaiting her arraignment.
