Police: Mini mart robbed at gunpoint in Geneva

Geneva, N.Y. (WHAM) - Police in Geneva are searching for the suspect who robbed a convenience store in Geneva Saturday night.

Officers said they were called to the Castle Mini Mart on Castle Street near Oak Street around 9:05 p.m.

Police said a suspect walked into the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the staff. The staff gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, who then ran away in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a thin man with a light complexion.

Officers are working with the Ontario County Sheriff's Office on the investigation.

No one was hurt in the robbery. Officers are asking anyone with information to call Detective Choffin at (315) 828-6781.
