Police: Skimming device found at Canandaigua gas station
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHAM) - The Canandaigua Police Department is investigating an incident involving the discovery of a skimming device at a gas station in Canandaigua.
Police say a skimming device was put inside a gas pump at the A Plus Mini Mart gas station, located at 484 South Main Street.
Those who used pump No. 1 at the gas station between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday May 20 are at risk of having their credit/debit card number recorded by the skimming device.
Anyone who may have used the pump during that time frame should notify their bank or financial institution, as well as monitor their bank accounts and credit/debit cards for suspicious activity.
