Rochester business opens new metal-working plant in Walworth
Walworth, N.Y. (WHAM) - A new manufacturing plant for a family-owned business in Rochester opened Friday in Walworth.
McAlpin Industries is a metal-working company and employs approximately 148 people. The company has been headquartered in Rochester for more than 50 years.
The new, 120,000-square-foot manufacturing plant and warehousing facility will be located on Rt. 441 near West Walworth Road in Walworth will allow the company to create at least 24 new full-time jobs.
The plant will focus on metal stamping, robotic welding and powder coating operations.
Empire State Development will provide McAlpin Industries up to $400,000 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits in return for job creation commitments. The investment from McAlpin Industries totals $5.85 million.
