Rochester man charged with June murder, facing additional robbery charges
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Rochester man was arrested and charged with a homicide back in June.
Police arrested Bryan Lavar Gifford on Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of Antwan Matos Hines.
On June 30, Hines was shot on West Broad Street around 7 p.m. Hines, a 34-year-old Rochester man, was seriously injured. He died ten days later from his wounds.
Gifford was taken into custody Wednesday for his involvement in a robbery on Mazda Terrace.
Gifford is being charged with second-degree murder for the June homicide. For the Mazda Terrace robbery, he is being charged with robbery 1st and grand larceny 4th.
A judge is set to arraign Gifford Thursday morning in Rochester City Court.
The FBI Rochester Area Major Crimes Task Force will also be charging Gifford for a Rochester-area bank robbery back in 2016.
