Rochester parolee arrested for Brighton home, car thefts
Brighton, N.Y. (WHAM) - A parolee from Rochester was arrested Wednesday in connection with at least one theft investigation involving homes and cars in Brighton.
Brighton Police said they have been investigating at least four home burglaries and multiple car larcenies in the area of Eastland Avenue and Southern Parkway on the weekend of November 18 and 19.
Officers said 45-year-old Jerome Lindsey had items stolen from one of the burglaries.
Lindsey was arrested by Brighton Police and charged with criminal possession of stolen property 5th. He was arraigned in Rochester City Court.
Lindsey had been on parole for a criminal possession of a weapon 3rd conviction in May 2014. According to NYSDOCCS, Lindsey served more than three years of his sentence of three to seven years in Midstate Correctional Facility before being conditionally released on August 2, 2017.
New York state parole officers issued a violation of parole warrant for Lindsey.
