Rochester woman sentenced to 9 years in prison for stabbing
Rochester, N.Y. – A Rochester woman was sentenced to nine years in state prison Monday for a homicide on Weaver Street last summer.
Shantell Green, 29, was convicted of stabbing Dewayne Simmons during a domestic argument on June 18, 2017.
Simmons was found with a wound to the upper body on Weaver Street. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Green was handed her sentence in court Monday. She will serve her term with five years of post-release supervision afterward.
