School warns about attempted child luring in Mt. Morris

Mt. Morris, N.Y. (WHAM) - Police in Mt. Morris are investigating after a driver reportedly tried to lure a child to his car Friday morning.

The Mount Morris Central School District sent out a message to the community after the incident.

On Friday morning, a man driving a black, four-door sedan with a yellow license plate approached a student who was waiting at her bus stop. According to district officials, the man then tried to lure the girl into his car. District officials were not able to immediately provide a location at which this happened.

The girl did not comply. The age and grade level of the girl was not immediately available from the district.

District officials describe the man as a white man in his 50s wtih dark gray hair and red cheeks. He also wore thick, dark, square-framed glasses.

District officials are currently talking with police and will have more information to release at a later time.
