State Police: 12-year-old boy made terroristic threat
(WHAM) - State Police have arrested a 12-year-old boy from the Port Byron School District for reportedly making a terroristic threat.
According to Troopers, the boy made claims of harming students at school on social media and during school. He was arrested on February 16.
Making a terroristic threat is a class "D" felony.
The boy was given an appearance ticket to Cayuga County Family Court and is scheduled to appear on February 20.
Troopers state that at no time did investigators believe his threats would be carried out and at no time were any students or faculty in danger.
