The Dream Factory fulfills dreams for local children battling serious illnesses
Rochester, N.Y. -- It’s a first for the organization that helps fulfill dreams for local children with serious illnesses.
Four families are going to Disney World on the same day. Five families are going in the month of January.
The Dream Factory held a gathering with some of the families at Linda’s NY Pizzeria on Lyell Avenue on Sunday.
One excited youngster is Max Lamonica, who’s battling cerebral palsy and has several life-threatening food allergies.
“Fees really good. Ecstatic. Makes me so happy that someone is thinking of me,” said Lamonica.
“He’s been a fighter. He’s been through an awful lot,” said Joanne Lamonica, Max’s mom.
With the serious food allergies, Max and his mother are excited about being able to eat out with Disney chefs who are able to prepare the right type of meal.
